Hélène Ducos is a composer, mezzo-soprano, and pianist. She trained at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and the Mozarteum Academies in Salzburg.
She has performed on stage in numerous roles ranging from Baroque to contemporary music. She has appeared in, among others, Rossini's La Cenerentola , Purcell's Dido and Aeneas , Poulenc's La voix humaine , Britten 's The Beggar's Opera , Offenbach's La vie parisienne , and Handel's Rinaldo .
She focuses her work as a pianist around accompaniment, chamber music and piano bar.
After studying orchestration with Marie-Jeanne Serero, she developed her work as a composer. She wrote several operas, including Minuit Montmartre , Amanda , Le Gora , as well as the triptych Le tablier . She creates each of her works herself, from the first word of the libretto to the last note of the orchestra.
Her works have resonated at Salle Cortot, the Montmartre Arena, and numerous theaters, among others. Hélène Ducos has worked in France, England, and Wales. Notable examples include her collaborations with Stanley Opera, Paris City Hall, the Auguste Theatre, and the Pixel Theatre.
She continues her career as a musician both on stage and in events, and spends her creative time in the open air, between peaks, hills and ocean.
